About the Rooted Series: Taking a Deeper Look at God

If You’re Lost in Who You Are, Let’s Find Your Roots

Our Minds, Our Heart, & The Cross

Where Wisdom Encounters Scripture to discover that there’s a truth God has stitched onto our hearts and minds.

When we begin filtering wisdom through Scripture, we discover that what we often call insight is, in truth, the faint echo of a much larger Voice. The world is full of scattered glimmers, moments of clarity, longing, or ache, that seem to hint at something beyond us. But only when these fragments pass through the light of God’s Word do they take on their true shape.

Scripture does not simply inform our wisdom; it illuminates it, revealing the presence of the One who stands behind every perfect gift. In this way, we uncover wisdom and see how it connects with Scripture, not as two separate streams meeting, but as tributaries returning to their Source.

What we thought were independent discoveries become confirmations of a deeper Reality: that God has stitched His truth into our hearts.

Together, we let wisdom encounter Scripture, revealing Jesus Christ, where scattered insight finds coherence and restless hearts find home. It is allowing the truth of God to order our thoughts, restore our emotions, and reorient our desires, so that our inner life bends toward the Cross, where God Himself was made flesh.

Look at God

Perhaps you’ve come to a place where life feels worn thin, where the things you’ve chased have left you empty, and the answers you once trusted no longer hold. You’ve tried, and tried again, only to find yourself weary and disappointed, wondering if there’s anything solid beneath your feet. Maybe you’ve begun to suspect that life, as it is, simply cannot satisfy, that what you truly long for lies somewhere beyond it. We may find that the only way out is pursuing some sort of hope, or if a believer, pursuing God. What if, when we look beneath the surface of hope, we realize the foundation of hope is God Himself? In time, we may discover that much of the wisdom we once valued was, in fact, deeply rooted in Scripture.

That’s the mission behind Ruth and Rupert.

Through Ruth and Rupert, we hope to help you find your place by letting wisdom encounter scripture—revealing the life, death, and resurrection of Christ
